Replacing front bead on 336
 

I would like to replace the front bead on my 336 with something a little brighter. Is there a general consensus of which after market fiber optic productmight bebetter than the rest?

Maybe I should have asked if this is this a good idea to start with?

Is it necessary to replace both the front and rear at the same time?

I recently had the bead replaced on my 336. I just went to the gun shop and selected one from the catalog they had. I chose a white bead, oversized, 3/32? Lyman? Very pleased with it. I have a reciever sight for the rear, so didn't have to change that, just sighted itin. I think the whole deal cost about $50, which I thought was steep.

Yep, Tru-Glo is the way to go.

Firesights are sold by Williams Gun Sights. I have a set. They're fuzzy when its bright out, but good enough for deer. They're about as bright as a fiber optic pin on a bow sight. I think that if you get a fiber optic that has enough metal around it to keep it from breaking, that is as good as you will get unless you go with tritium or something else that does not depend on ambient light.
