On your hunting rifles how many pounds is your trigger set for?

Mineis set for 5 or more but after the season is over I am getting it put to 3.

It depends upon what I'm hunting. Varmint rifles are normally 2 to 3lbs. I like a deer rifle to have a 3.5 to 4lb trigger. I don't like too light of a trigger on a rifle that I might be shooting with gloves on.

If a trigger is polished smooth with the overtravel adjusted right, you'd be surprised how "light" a trigger can feel even at 3 to 4lbs of pull. I've seen triggers with creep and lots of overtravel adjusted down to a couple pounds trying to compensate for a poor trigger.

I like them set to 3 lbs for big game hunting. I want an absolutel glass rod break when I squeeze it .

For large game I am usually wearing gloves in cooler weather so I want atleast 3.5lbs.
I have set triggers on a few of my varmint rifles that are at 8oz but consider a crisp trigger that is 2lbs just fine for woodchucks.
A light trigger does not always make a rifle accurate. I do not work on a trigger until the rifle shows real potential

1-1/12 lbs is fine for bench work, but I personally want 3 lbs. for my deer rifles. Cold figers and gloves can cause problems wit a super-sensitive trigger.

3 lbs is about as low as I want to go on a hunting rifle.

3 pounds for my deer rifles, 1.5 pounds on my tactical rifles,about .5 pound or lesson my varmint and competition rifles.

It depends....AND kinda reflects an American bias towards one set triggers....

Warm weather prairie dog rifle, 2 pounds.
Cold weather (cold fingers)big game rifles, 3.5 pounds.

Then there are my two CZ 550 Safari Magnums with the set triggers
** "Regular" =3.5 pounds
** "Set" = 1.0 pound (real handy at the range when dialing in a scope), just think "shoot" and it goes off, a nice nice option.

Ilike BG rifles around 3.0lbs due to gloves for colder weather.
