savage is a good gun..the newer ones have accutrigger
3006 springfield is a proven caliber

I have a savage 110 in 30-06 and it is a great gun. It is a 1997 model but has taken a few deer and cyotes in its day. Recommend it to anyone that wants a new bolt action rifle. and the 30-06 will handle just about everything on the N.A. continent. Enjoy!!

Older Savages/J.Stevens say springfield on them...i have no idea why. I've tried to look it up but can't find anything on them. Maybe this is what he means or whats causing confusion.
