shell catcher for an sks. any ideas?
I am playing with the idea of reloading 7.62 x 39 rounds for hunting. problem being, the damn then sling brass about 10 yrds or more and I can only find 75% maybe 85% of the fired brass. I have a few ideas on how to make a shell catcher for it. I want to pick your brains to see if yall have any ideas.
I know I can find them on the net. but I am a cheap sob and looks like something I can make. details: I have a shell deflector mounted because I have a full lengh 3 - 9 X40 mounted something that won't fell stange if I hunt with it any input would be great. |

Well, you could just take a friend with a baseball mitt and make him run for them...but he's have to be a really good friend (or well paid)!!:D;)[8D]
You might be able to rig something up based on your current brass deflector that would further deflect the brass more downward. Then put something like a piece of cardboard or even an open hard case to catch the brass. Mike |
