Browning BPS Deer Shotgun
I'm looking to get a Browning BPS Deer Hunter Shotgun hopefully by next year. Does anyone have any input about this shotgun. I'm a lefty, like the bottom ejection and think it would be a good gun. Any help is appreciated. A link is provided as follows: http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firearms/detail.asp?value=011B&cat_id=012&type_id=2 14

RE: Browning BPS Deer Shotgun
Great guns if you can afford them. Especially for sabot slugs because they have the faster twist rate.
Nothing bad to say about them other than they cost twice as much as remington or mossberg. Paul |

In my humble opinion, the bps is the best pump shotgun currently on market!

As another lefty and the owner of a BPS for 12 years I can say that you will really learn to love that gun.
Mine is a bit picky with respect to slugs. Seems it has a taste for the "good stuff" like 3" Federals, but it shoots great groups even 100 yards and beyond. I did find that it was not so fond of 2 3/4" slugs. Regardless of what I used, the 2 3/4" slugs just did not shoot as well as the 3". I have never regretted buying that gun, and pick it up every time over my 870 Wingmaster. |

I just learn to dealwith it, but have been planning for a while to remedy the situation with a padded kit, or new stalk. Problem is my BPS is mossy oak, and my gold is stalker. |

heeze gutshot shortee, My 870 is right handed, but I'm nervous b/c I don't know if I'll be able to find a left handed raised stock and a left handed cantilever barrel for deer. It just seems easier to look for aambidextrous shotty I guess. We'll see. Any suggestions? |
