Camo will probably cost more than the run of the mill field model. The field models are between 200 and 250 depending on where you get them.
I would still suggest you look at that maverick you were talking about if you are trying to save a few bucks. Pretty much the same gun as the mossy 500, just a few minor changes. You can also get a H&R Pardner pump for under 200 bucks. I had one for a while and it was a nice enough gun for the money. Actually it was nicer than either mossberg 500 or Rem 870 I owned. However they are made in China and if it were to break I don't know how hard parts would be to get. Sticking with the Mossberg or remington would probably be better in the long run. My opinion anyway. Paul |

RE: what will i pay for it
actully paul H&R is made in usa, i own one or atleast that is what the catalog said anyways, but if you are gonna think about H&R try looking at there singles shots, they can be bought for about 150 and barrles are about 60-80 with out shipping, i bought the turkey gun in camo for 160 and pade i think 100 withshipping for my fully rifled deer barrel so 260 for two great dependabletraditional guns, that are made in the usa, now if i had a choice i would go with a winchester model 37 but they didnt haveriflled shotgun barrles backthen.

Not sure but I would check out Gander Mountain. They usually are cheaper than other places. At least where I am from.

RE: what will i pay for it
i believe maverick is the brother company to mossberg. the maverick i had was a plain jane model 500. i didnt see many differences but if you call mossberg im sure they will know.
