Sling Stix any good?

Are they sturdy when deployed for a steady shot... doesnt seem like they would be...

It's better than nothing.

my only concern with them is that I hunt in dense woods. I think a deer would hear all that noise unless I kept them out at all times.

I like shooting sticks but only in open areas. The sling sticks look like they would get in the way of things always on the sling. I like keeping mine on my butt-pack waist strap.

I though about them then I got the Stoney Point Rapid By pod in the sitting and kneeling style.I like them because they attach and detach quickly and quitily. Gun is able to pivot 360 degrees and canter if you need to. In my area they went for the same price as the Sling Stix.

Almost every place I've ever hunted had at least one tree trunk around close by that I could use to steady my aim. Places that didn't usually permitted me to assume a sitting, kneeling, or prone position.
