Browning Gold Stalker?
I'm getting one of these on trade tomorrow in 3 1/2 inch. I've never shot one, but feel pretty good about the trade. If any of you have owned or shot one, I sure would like to know how you liked it.
Thanks Bryan |
RE: Browning Gold Stalker?
I got two. One gold deer hunter, and another 3.5" stalker like your getting. I can't say enough about it. Smoothest action in the business. Now, when I bought mine, I gave 600 for the slug gun, and bought the 3.5" used for 600 in mint. I see they have jacked thier prices up to unbelievable levels. I wouldn't pay 1000 dollars for one. But over 85% of my guns were previously owned.
I have used the stalker goose and duck hunting for 2 years. I took it out turkey but the barrel is too long, and didn't like the black for turkey hunting. I have been out in 20 degree weather and up and havn't had an issue yet. I have used the slug gun for over 5 years and again, awesome gun. |

Now I feel really good about the trade!:D
Thanks Bryan |
RE: Browning Gold Stalker?
I feel the Gold is on of the best semi-autos out there right now running neck and neck with Beretta semis.

RE: Browning Gold Stalker?
My brother and I both have 3 1/2" Golds and my son has a 3" Gold. Previously I owned an 11-78 and an older Benelli SBE. I much prefer the Gold. I don't hunt waterfowl very much anymore, mainly pheasant. I also have an older Citori. I shoot the Citori WAY better than the Gold for some reason. It just fits me better I guess.

RE: Browning Gold Stalker?
I got the gold today! New in the box without a round fired through it or a scratch on it. I got a really good deal and the other guy was really happy also. I'm going duck and goose hunting Sunday and I'll see how it shoots then! I love it when a plan comes together!:D

RE: Browning Gold Stalker?
I hope you like it.
I had a Gold Stalker with the 24" barrel, 3" model, that was a Jam-O-Matic. I couldn't keep that thing working when the temp dropped below 30. |
