Savage package rifle scopes?

RE: Savage package rifle scopes?
Oh... nevermind. I just reread your post and your friend is a southpaw. [:@]
Well, if he wouldn't mind shooting a right-handed rifle (I know a lot of lefties do), I'd also sell it minus the scope for $400, if he doesn't want the scope. It's used with 100 rounds through it. I'd also consider a trade for an equivalent .22-250 or .243 rifle in any brand (right handed), or a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm scope.

RE: Savage package rifle scopes?
I have two Savage rifles that were package deals...
The first is a M116 in .270 Winchester with a 3-9x32 Bushnell scope...that I have trouble getting to focus correctly (works okay inside 100 yds but not much further)...I will be replacing that soon...
The second is a M110 in 7mm Remington Magnum (that holds a 1/2 MOA group past 300 yards) that came with a 3-9x32 Buschnell scope that cracked the reticle from the bench...(on the last shot naturally, and I did not discover that until I missed a 50 yard shot at a nice 8-pt buck)...I replaced that with a NcStar 3-9x50 IR mil-dot (an inexpensive scope that has performed terrific)...
My advice: buy the Savage, then get a decent scope that you are confident in...
