Info on scope rings rem 700

Hey all just needed to quick info on some rings for my remington 700 22-250. I just odered a burris scope and was wanting to mount it super close. ATM I have a 50mm objective and high rings, but way too high. The burris is 3-9x40. Can I use super lows or stick with low? Any info would be great. Thanks!

I looked at the Leupold chart and assuming the Burris 3x9 is simular to a Leupold 3x9....which they are,
it suggests you use low rings. This site will help you figure out what to use.Even if using different brands, if you can find a simular Leupold scope it can be used as a guide.http://www2.leupold.com/resources/MountFitChart/default.asp

I use the lows. I have a set of super lows and they wont even work with a 40mm objective. I have the lows on everything.

Ok so if I do use lows will that make it hard to get a quick sight, or is it about right? I don't want to have to work to get an eye on my target you know.

The suggestions you have gotten are telling you to keep the scope as close to the barrel as possible. There are reasons for this. once you get the combination that does this for you, you gotta practice, practice, practice until when you mount the gun to your shoulder you are automatically looking through the scope and are on your target. This is an accquired trait. It comes easy for some, others have to work for it. Work at it. You can't be fussing around trying to find your target through a scope at crunch time. Make sure your eye relief is comfortable for your shooting form and practice every chance you get.
