i have the mossberg 270 with a leapuld scope. i can put five rounds of cheap federals 130 grain in a 50 cent piece at 100 yards. i love the gun never has jammed and i didnt ruin my bank account. i shot a 150 inch buck with it last year. One shot kill dropped in his tracks. these rifles are a 600 dollar rifle in my book.

The Remington is by far the better rifle of the two you listed.
Go to a shop and look at them both side by side and examine the fit and finish, smoothness of the bolts, machine work, etc... etc... andI think you will see the Remington comes out on top.
If you want to get a good accurate rifle but spend about what a Mossberg will cost then look at the Stevens 200 or Savage 110.

ya i got a 3 by 9 by 40. I know both guns will be accurate. Just pick up both and go from there. In my opinion the mossberg bolt felt better then the remington. And was alot less. The savages are nice but way more parts to them. the mossbergs have far less parts. If u get a mossberg you wont be disapointed. Im goin to get a new one next year in the 4 by 4 package.

I got a mossberg 100 in 243win and it is very accurate. Can usally cover 3 shots with a quater. It has a simmons 4x14 atec scope.I got the one with the camo stock and really like it.Now dont get wrongthe action isnt the tightest or the smoothest but well worth the $270 I paid for it.I use this gun mostly for cyotes and ground hogs but my wife has killed a couple deer with it.But the main thing is how much you want to spend.Iam not to sure but I would say the remington is a bit more pricey

dang now im equally torn again
I like the mossberg but i know more about the remington cus ive actually held and shot the .270
so i guess the best thing to do is go to the store and find out if i like the way the mossberg feels and go from there.
