Shotgun scpoe
I am looking at a new scope for my 870 and was hoping to get some ideas for a new scope. I was leaning towards the Nikon pro staff series but would like to hear some opinions on this scope. Thanks

RE: Shotgun scpoe
You can't go wrong with the Pro Staff. I have two 2x7x32. One on my slug gun and the other on my muzzleloader. Best scope for the $125.

RE: Shotgun scpoe
I have a Nikon 2-7x 32mm Prostaff shotgun scope on my 870. It is a very nice scope for the price. The shotgun series has a little more eye relief. The only negative on that scope is that the windage is not fingertip adjustable, you need to use a coin or screw driver.

Thanks for the input. I'm glad to hear that these are nice scopes. Do you have any issues with the eye relief? I don't really want to spend over $200 on the slug series scope they have out .

RE: Shotgun scpoe
you want a decent scope for a decent price? Then look into the Bushnell Trophy Scopes, few friends have them in 3-9x40, they are decent, somewhere around $100 give or take a few dollars

RE: Shotgun scpoe
I'll be the third to say that the Nikon Prostaff is a good scope as far as price and performance. I also have the 2-7x32. Can't wait to get out and use it. Sighted in great on my new Rem. 23" cantilever barrel with Rem. Copper solids!

RE: Shotgun scpoe
The eyerelief is perfect on my cantelever scope mount. FYI the parallax is set at 75 yards, just the right distance for slug hunting.
Attached are the specs on the Prostaff shotgun scope. http://theopticzone.com/detail.aspx?ID=2320 |
