Where do some people get the idea thatdisarming people that get their guns legallywill reduce crime rates? Do they really think that criminals will bein the sameline toturn in their gunsas law abiding citizens would?

In my opinion, this would only lead to one thing, a skyrocket in crime and more than ever, innocent people being assulted or murdered !!!!!

While all the law abiding citizens are turning their guns in, all the criminals will be waiting with watering mouths with the anticipation to an indefinate society that cannot defend themselves.[:'(]

I like the part about specially trained police squads. Probably will have to be UN in blue helmets. Don't see American boys disarming their own. They can have all my guns, but I'm gonna give them all the ammo first--one at a time.

I sincerely pray to the Almighty God that we never implement this idiots vision here. I guess this guy doesn't realise that police states (aka Communism, National Socialism, et al) have disarmed and subsequently killed far more unarmed peasants in the 20th century than all the guns in the USA combined severalfold. He should move to China (PRC), sounds like he'd love it there. [:@][:'(]

Beings the chap is a retired Ambassador it does give you some insight to the mentality of some of our goverment officials . Somebody had to think he was mentally stable .

It would be much easier. All they have to do is dry up the supply line for ammo and reloading supplies. No ammo, most folks would have no use for their guns and would voluntarily turn them in. Sad...

It just makes no sense at all. We are a pretty good selfe governing nation, but we are loosing the rights to do so every day, aren't we? I started reloading almost 1 year ago to the day and prices on most of the supplies have gone up %50 and in some cases nearly double. Primers where $1.99 per 100 and now they are $3.79 for the same thing? It almost feels like when they got the big idea to tax the hell out of beer and tabacco to pay for health care. That worked out pretty well, now didn't it? Shees.[&:]

I dont know about all of you guys but I dont sit around and think about shooting someone to that extent.We are not cannabiles,If I have a beef with someone it will be man to man,not gun to man.You can look at the history of countries that did similar laws,there crime rate went out the roof.Some of the most violent crimes ever commited were by weapons other then guns.ie: world trade center planes.Hell if thats the case maybe we dont need bows ,knives,razors ect..... Lets address the real problem ,not enough people having guns.Not to many folks would try to over take someone if they thought they were armed,or atleast had a dought.We had better start with new poiticians and media people.If the news was reported the way it really happened instead of there skewed version then we would all be better off.

The guy was a U.S. Ambassador to some country in Africa, appointed by the illustrious ex-President William Jefferson Klinton.

Just vote for your friendly neighborhood Democrat if you want this kind of garbage to actually happen. Their first step, if a Democrat is elected President, will be to pack the Supreme Court full of justices who will interpret our individual rights under the 2nd Amendment out of existence.

Vote another Klinton (or any other Democrat) into the Presidency and we're one step closer to this guy's vision becoming reality.
