RE: Remington Model 700?

I would say that you have a very nice weapon, but nothing about it makes it particularly rare or collectable. 257 Roberts is a pretty popular caliber and the model and synthetic stock are very popular.
BUT, after going back and looking, I can't find that the ADL was offered in 257 Roberts. I find several BDL models that offered it. Are you sure of the ADL designation? It came in the Lew Horton Special Edition, which are not particularly expensive, and the 700BDL Classic which they put out the 257 in 1982. These are worth $500-$600 in excellent condition according to the BB.

That is a great deer rifle you got there. The .257 Roberts in one of the best cartridges around.

I think it was one of those limited runs for the ADL. I bought one just before the PA rifle season. Hornady Customs perform inside an inch.

They must have made a run of them last year. I bought a new one just a few months ago. The 257 Roberts is an excellent deer-blackbear type gun. It is far more effective that the 6mm's which helped much the Roberts and the 250-3000 savage out of the market. Loaded with 100 grains X bullets it will take elk as well although its better suited for deer and LONG LONG LONG range varmit shooting. I am a BIB FAN of the "Quarter Bores".
