1100 vs. 1187

What are the differences between the Remington 1100 and 1187?

The main differences ain't as much as you would think. The 11-87 is simply a updated, improved model 1100 which enables it to shoot 2 3/4" and 3". Also the wood is aupposed to e better(grain(,with different checkering pattern. The gas system is also improved.

I remember hearing some of the Remington owners talking of replacing an O-Ring in their 1100. Does the 1187 use an O-Ring? I have never heard of it but do not know many 1187 owners.
