browning or t/c?
 

i have been offered 2 fairly new rifles, $450 a piece. a browning stainless stalker in 300 win mag and a t/c pro hunter in 300 win mag. i am only going to buy 1 of them. which one would you guys choose and why? both are only 1 year old and neither has more than 50 shots fired through it.

T/C! Why? Wheredo I start :DLonger bbl=more velocity, flatter trajectories. Flextech recoil stock, greatly reducing the nudge a 300 WM can give. Ability tochange barrels: you can have a new gun for under $300 in a wide variety of cartridges. It's the little things that add up to make my decision. :)

that is what i was thinking but i think i just needed some reassurance. never owned a t/c before, but the switch barrel idea is a great one.........wish i had come up with it.

If you choose the excellent TC deal,please pm me with info so that I may seek purchase of the a-bolt. By the way,on the switch barrel tc-it's the last gun you will need to buy because you can have any manner of centerfire rifle/handgun,muzzleloader,or now even rimfire.

Browning without question.

I'm a bit bias because I'm a big Browning fan and have never liked the T/C.

I don't like big game rifles that are single shots, the fact that I can change barrels means that I can have more than 1 single shot(which I don't like to begin with) and they are just plain ugly.

Browning A-Bolt stainless stalker, that's a great rifle, it's stainless, and I'd pick it anyday over a T/C, the bolt on the Browning is great, they're just some well designed guns.

I wouldn't get the T/C unless you want to get a muzzleloader barrel later.

Both are great buys at $450, though they are two totally different rifles. I would try to shoot and handle each if you could, that way you can decidewhichone isbest for you.

i have a browning and a encore, heres the thing if you want to buy a new barrel for the tc you will also have to buy a scope and mounts and rings for it which will cost you more than just 300 $, so it evens out bc if you buy the browning you can have more than one shot if necessary so it evens out where with the encore you can only have one shot and i wouldnt want a shotgun with just one shot for bird hunting
