Love the caliber and agree that it is one of the best whitetail calibers out there. Plenty of knock down power with low recoil, wide range of 7mm bullets available, excellent ballistics...what's not to like.

I am also a Remington fan and have two Rem's in 7mm-08. One is a Rem 700 Mtn LSS which I use for longer range (Up to 300+Yds)and the other a Rem 7600 which is my "woods" gun. Both shoot sub MOA with my handloads.

I've got leupold quick release rings and Burris 3-9x40 Ballistic Plex reticle scopes on both rifles. Also have a red dot scope for up close work with the 7600 and a 6.5-20x50 that will fit either rifle for range work.

The 7600 is newly acquired, but isfast becoming my "go to" rifle. With 154 Hornady RN's @ 2,753 MV and the BPlex reticle I'm good to 300 Yds with this set up. Im hanging on to the Mtn LSS for my son when he gets a little older.

Good luck with your 7mm-08, I know you will come to love it as most of us 7mm-08 fans do.
