Question for Encore/Contender shooters

When shooting the pistol, do you hold it like a pistol, 2 hands on the grip?
Or like a small rifle, with 1 hand on the stock, 1 on grip?

Kinda a dumb question, but I'm curious since it has a stock....

RE: Question for Encore/Contender shooters

I can only speak for myself but I very seldom shoot mine without a rest so I use a one hand grip and place the off hand on the grip or on top of the scope. With the .22 I shoot is more like a conventional handgun.

RE: Question for Encore/Contender shooters

Depends on the shot for my 7mm-08. Last year I shot a 10 point40 yards out of my tree stand by leaning away from the tree with my off hand on the stock (never could have made the shot with a long gun). For longer shots I try to rest the stock on a branch or against the side of the tree and keep two hands on the grip. As PaJack stated, a lot may depend on the caliber...

I have a 7mm-08 also. I have used two hands on grip and, one on grip and one on stock. This past fall i used one hand on grip and one on stock technique and received a nasty scope bite. my own fault though. I paid too much attention to the buck and not enough to my form. painful lesson!
