Lever action 30-06
Have any of you ever heard of a browning blr lever action 30-06? Someone has one for sale for about 470 dollars and I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on them.
Just making sure that I don't buy something and then hear that they always jam up or are not accurate or something flawed with the design. The rifle is like 95% condition. Very good. "Hey ya'll, watch this" |
RE: Lever action 30-06
I have friend who purchased one and, it has the worst trigger I have ever felt. We could never find anyone who would do a trigger job on it. Make sure you try the triggers on as many of these rifles as possible, and pick the one with the best trigger. Good luck.

RE: Lever action 30-06
I've had two Browning BLR 81's and can testify to you that they are about as fine a "walking around the woods" gun as money can buy. I did find a gunsmith in California who could work on the trigger and he adjusted it for me and made it adequate. I gave one to my brother (a 7mm-08) and I sold mine (a .284 Win). I will forever regret the day I did... <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Lever action 30-06
i like them alot. i had one in order but was a 7mm-08rem. the reason why i did not try for one in 30-06sprg was being the stock was to long for me and felt uncomfortable.
if you are looking for one. i would go with the 308win shorter action and the 308win is just as good as the 30-06sprg. a new one runs for $550.00 where i buy my guns. as seatlesears said "one of the finest alking around the woods guns " they do feel good. if i was you pick it up. very good price. |
