Default bought a new rifle

Just bought a new rifle. marlin 336C in 30-30. I've always wanted a lever and especially a 30-30, can't wait to take it out the range with that new hornady leverevouliton ammo. also can't wait to bag a deer with it. just gonna stick to the good ole iron sights.

cool guns, what i killed my first deer with and haskilled a bunch of deer BTW, the lever guns get addictive, i still have my 336, an 1894 in .41 mag, and a model 39, and my wife bought me a henry .22 on my last birthday. guess you could say i like'em

the only one i have ever had problems with was an early BLR (.243), that had a terrible trigger[:@]

I shoot really well with the 336's. alot better then with my savage 30-06....I love their classic look, can't wait to bag a deer with one.

I bought a 336W before last deer season as a backup to my Remington 7400 in .270 Win. My dad hunts with two .444 Marlin's, and talked me into getting a lever gun. I loved every minute of hunting with it. Killed a nice 8 point and a couple does with it. In the thick timber of Northern Missouri where i hunt, you can't beat a good brush-thumper lever gun. i have a Bushnell 3x9x50 with high rise mounts on mine, so i can still see the irons, though.
