RE: What is the perfect tool

What's a .22 RF? It's not a .22 LR is it?

I would choose a SMLE (Short Magazine Lee-Enfield).
You get 10 shots, anda smooth action, with a cartridge that has similar power compared to the .308 Win.

I would imagine rim fire...

I'd choose a shotgun as well. With a .22 being a close second.

Mountainman style? A .54 Rocky Mountian Hawken! One gun to do it all? A 12g with a 24" barrel. A survival gun? A Winchester 1894 takedown, or10/22 takedown.

Uhmmmmmmmmmm ok . I ment electivly not post nuke . You could have more thanone not and if you could 1 . If I went today and didn't build "the tool" would go with my 357s ,1894 Marlinand a Sec. 6 Ruger .
As for a front stuffer and dropping out, may as well take a flint and not come back .
