With a cast and jaketed bullets from 100-250 grns3 cans of powder and a non-mag. primer the 30-06' will do every thing on the continant resonably safely . I know it's not for the great bears but under a 100 it'll do the job as long as you don't shoot it in the forehead . If I weren't going north of theMason-Dixion I'd have to take the 357 as a second.
