257 Wby Mag ammo????
 

What type of factory ammo do any of ya'll reccomend for my new 257 Wby? I was thinking about the 115gr Nosler Ballistic tip. It appears to be the best on paper, delivering over 2000lbs of energy out to 300yds.But what's on paper and what works in the field are totally different. Any comments would be great!!!!!

What are you trying to kill? Ballistic tip might be a little too explosive for bigger game when fired at 257 mag velocity even at 300yds. might want to think about the partition bullets.

It would be mostly for deer, but I might try it out as a javalina gun as well. If I go after javalina I would use lighter bullets. So consider it a deer rifle.

120gr Partitions are the Smack Down! Bang....flop.
