Stoeger Coach Gun??

I handled one of these at my favorite gun store and fell in love with it. I put a blued 12 gauge model on layaway. Does anyone have one of these or experience with them?

RE: Stoeger Coach Gun??

I got one with the intention of starting cowboy shooting, along with a pair of Vaqueros and a Marlin 1894. I never got to start this hobby and the only thing I have left is the 1894. The coach gun I thought was pretty neat. Only it was very stiff because it was new. I liked it and shot many clay bird with it to practice. I toyed with keeping it for grouse but decided to trade it in. Where were you when I was getting rid of it. You would have gotten a great deal.

I've got one just like you put on lay-a-way except I found one in stainless/wood.
The breakover is still pretty stiff after having it a couple of years. It's so short, it makes a dang fine home protection weapon and I take it with me to my deer lease in case I run upon a hog with an attitude.
I usually carry it with 2 3/4" buckshot, and that little gun gives your shoulder a pretty good pop. I keep meaning to put a recoil pad on it.

I think you'll really like yours, especially once the action starts to loosen up a little bit.
