Recommended pistol scope?
I'm going to post this ??? in a couple spots. And yes, I have tried to search this.
I'm looking for a pistol scope for my T/C Encore in 30-30. I only shoot it now and then, so I'm not really wanting to spend Swarovski or Zeiss or even Leupold money. But I know I won't be happy with junk either. I'm looking for a scope that gives me ample eyerelief (you don't want to shoot this thing near your face!), very good field of view (probably the most important feature), and a fixed 4 power would do nicely. It will be used in hunting situations where you would draw quickly, locate target and shoot. I live and hunt in Wyoming and our G&F regs do not allow any scope or hunting eqipment that uses " artificial light". So all the Red Dot/Green Dot scopes are out. (All you Wyoming guys might contact your legislator to get this changed). So . . . what do ya think? |
RE: Recommended pistol scope?
Why not a T/C scope? very good scopes! Personally, I prefer Burris.

RE: Recommended pistol scope?
I have a 2-7 3200 bushnell elite on my 460. Its holding up well and clear. I like it. Lately, I have been a 3200 nut. I have bought 4-5 of em.

RE: Recommended pistol scope?
The bushnell elites and burris fulfield II's are good scopes for the money. You could also consider a Nikon as well, as less expensive scopes, but hold up well and have lifetime warranties.

RE: Recommended pistol scope?
On my T/C contender, I have a Burris 2-7X on the 7-30 Waters Barrel and a T/C 3X on my 35 Rem barrel. Both scopes suit me just fine. I have an older Tasco 4X on the .22 LR barrel with a mil dot that I used for squirrels. Although this scope is fine for my .22, I wouldn't recommend it for a heavier kicker.
