mini-14 owners...

Have any of you used one of those adjustable gas blocks?

If so, how'd it do?

From my experiences with Mini 14's, their accuracy has been TERRIBLE. I would not spend too much trying to "upgrade" one. If you want a 223 autoloader, I would (and did) go with a Rock River AR-15. The accuracy is 100x better than the Mini 14's that I have owned. Just my 2 cents.

I got a Mini-14 because I wanted a .223 autoloader andjust can't spend the kind ofmoney I had looked at on AR-15s but I thought I might try to get acouple things for my Mini after a yard sale.

So far the accuracy of mine has provedacceptable for what I plan to do with it, which is mostly plinking and predator hunting with shots around 100 yards. I will agree that it's definitely not something you'd be able to shoot the primer out of a shotgun shell with.
