A good gunsmith should be able to on almost any gun. A dovetail is the normal method which would require him to mill. Be careful though.. knew someone last year that had some installed and the nickempoop gunsmith had the screws coming out on the inside of the barrel <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

A gunsmith should be able to do this as long as he as the right equipment. It's really not that hard of a job, like TScottW99 said make sure he/she knows what they're doing. If they're idiots they could ruin your gun.

This is an easy installation and it's almost exclusively done by drilling and tapping.....a few smiths solder them and no one I know of dovetails them today.....but the previous posts are correct.....Take your work to a &quot;smith&quot;...not a &quot;bargain&quot; guy learning the trade!!!

Quilly,
Yes not a problem, make and model would help in determining which style of sights would be best. But since sight do not exsist on your rifle now I would assume it is a bolt action or a single shot, and D&T or sweat on can only be determined after barrel thickness has been astablished.
