left handed rifle question
Does ANYONE make a left handed stainless/synthetic rifle in .270 with a 24" barrel???? Can't seem to find one anywhere other that some of the custome made rifles.
I guess I could grab a L.H. Rem 70 CDL in .270 and add a custom synthetic stock and teflon coat on the metal later, but does ANYONE make a production rifle in this configuration? Schoolcraft |
RE: left handed rifle question
Ruger makes LH rifles, as does Remington. The Ruger 77 is supposed to be a real nice bolt action rifle.

RE: left handed rifle question
Ruger and Reminton do make some VERY nice left handed bolt action rifles.....but nothing in stainless/synthetic with a 24" barrel in .270 that I know of.
I noticed that in the Remington customer shop I can order a left handed Mountain Rifle LS in pretty much any configuration I wanted, but it's very expensive. Any other ideas? |
RE: left handed rifle question

RE: left handed rifle question
I'm not aware of anyLH 270win/ss/syth with a 24" pipe(longest I have seen is 22 1/2" on the Tikka T3 Lite lineup). Savage and Tikka both offer LH SS/Syth/24" barrels chambered in 270wsm, though.

RE: left handed rifle question
Why don't you look at the Ruger No.1 in stanless ? It comes with a 26" barrel. You have to remember you are talking a 270 and 22"-26" it won't make a bit of difference downrange if one is shooting at distances that round should be limited to on big game.

RE: left handed rifle question
Saveage has a 116FLSS. Not sure of the bbl length. I have on in .30-06 that shoots great.

RE: left handed rifle question
Ruger has a stainless with a laminated stock, and they shoot excellent
