I want to try it just to see if I could shoot it without dropping it.

Seems like a waste of time to me. I encourage people to enjoy whatever firearms they're into, butthe T-Rex isway too impractical for use at the bench or in the field, IMHO.

I'll just keep my .243. Thanks anyway.
Backup for dangerous game? I'd think you'd want to be able to shoot with your eyes open, and have at least some hope of retaining possession of your weapon in case you need to try to jack another round into the chamber for a quick follow-up. I certainly wouldn't want to be using a weapon that would knock me to the ground, fling itself 10 feet away, and render me into a pre-tenderized quivering lump of prey...

You'd only get 1 shot with that bad bad bad boy at anything dangerous. If you'd miss, it'd be all over.
That really is insane. I couldn't tell if they had any sort of muzzlebrake or other attempt to dampen the recoil. There' probably not much you could do to lessen the blow of that monster aside from it being made like an artillery piece with serious gas and hydraulic dampening systems.
It looked like it was shot in some place where they had both Americans and Arabs.... the Middle East some place?
