Used my SBE with 2 3/4" #4 steel for pheasants on Friday; never skipped a beat; but never has. Awesome gun.

Guess I will have to take that SBE off your hands Bird Dog for around 300 dollars. I don't want you using faulting equipment in the field. Just looking out for you.

Might want to call Benelli. I always see these guns work flawlessly. Kinda strange problem. Is it brand new or old?

The SBE will have problems cycling light loads, it should be o.k. with heavier loads, say 1 1/8 oz. of shot and a lot of powder, but the cheap shells you buy at discounters such as Wally World don't usually meet this criteria. It is a lot to ask of any gun to go from 3 1/2" mags to 2 3/4" field loads, and some do this better than others, but none are perfect.

I am seriously thinking of getting a Super Black Eagle 3 1/2 Camo. I've looked at the Winchester X2 and the Browning Gold also. Are there any other problems that others may have found with the Benelli SBE? Of the three guns the Benelli I found to be the most user friendly with regard to weight and also it is not as bulky as the other two.

From all the guys that I have heard talk about them, they are rated very highly!! Compared to the Winchester X2, or the Browning Gold 3 1/2's, those Beneli's are the most money!! Be prepared to fork out some big bucks for that gun!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
