Ruger M77 MKII Varmint Opinions
Have any of you had any experience with this rifle? I read they have a special 2 stage target trigger, but is it very nice or is it really stiff like other Ruger triggers? Any input about his rifle is appreciated.

RE: Ruger M77 MKII Varmint Opinions
I own 3 of the Ruger M77VT's. One in 22ppc another in 22-250 and the 3rd in 220 Swift. They are a very accurate gun. The 2 stage trigger can be adjusted reasonably low.
On my 22 ppc the first stage of the trigger has been removed and the second is adjusted down to 8 ounces. The other 2 rifle triggersare less than 2 lbs The only drawback of the rifle is the weight, but if you are looking for a bench/varmint rifle that is a half-step below a custom ... YOU FOUND IT! |

RE: Ruger M77 MKII Varmint Opinions
I have one in .220 Swift. Love it. It's very accurate and the final stage of the trigger is light and crisp. Like Hairtrigger mentioned, it's heavy; not something you'd enjoy lugging around all day, but that's not really what it's meant for, either. Great gun, IMO

Not knocking Danthehunter but those targets are typical of the MK2VT's
I can do that with my rifles IF I stay away from the energy drinks! |
RE: Ruger M77 MKII Varmint Opinions
No offense taken,You must be a good shot. Those are at 100 yards 3 round groups,Hole for hole on some of them .It will do that all day long with my reloads. It really doesnt open up much at 200 yards.
