25-06 bullet for ground hogs?
My new 25-06 should be getting to me in a week or two. I was wondering what you fellas recommend for ground hogs and yotes as far as bullets go. I dont reload so it will have to be manufactured stuff, looking for something that will blow up to cut down the risk of ricochet.

RE: 25-06 bullet for ground hogs?
i use my .25-06 for deer hunting and i shoot the Federal Premium 117 grain rounds. these are the only rounds i have shot through my T/C Pro Hunterso farbut they seem to do well. i plan on experimenting with other factory loads before next season. you might want to post this question in the "small game, predator and trapping catergory" for better visibility within your question field.

Winchester makes a 90 gr Positive Expanding round that is accurate out of my gun and it puts coyotes down. It will do considerable damage to their pelts.

I have used both the Sierra 87 grain and the Nosler 85 grain Ballistic Tips. They both shoot well, but the terminal performance of the Noslers is awesome!

The .25-06 is a monster for ground hogs. Wow! Check out a .22.250. It might be a little easier on your shoulder and cheaper ammo.

Hornady 75 grain V-Max. They are probably the most accurate bullets out of my gun, and they will take drop coyotes like no other.
