RE: steyr m1895
I don't have one yet,but am planning on ordering 2 or 3 of them later this week. I looked at one at a dunham'sstore tonight- it was in good shape but the bore was somewhat rusty. Century arms is currently selling 4 versions of them- Hungarian (Budapest) M95, M95/30 and Steyr(Austrian) M95 and M95/30. The M95/30 is a M95 rifle cut down to carbine length whilethe M95 carbine was originally built as a carbine.
They fire 8x56r ammo which is loaded using a mannlicher style en-bloc clip. The ammo turns up now and then in surplus crates, the clips are a bit harder to find though- I've seen them at gun shows. Brass can be bought fromGrafs, but bullets have a nominal diameter of .329" which can be hard to find. You can probably take .338" bullets and run them through a Lee .329" sizing die, I plan on getting a .338" bullet mould and sizing them down in a die that's been lapped out.
