The cartridge is popular in Europe and somewhat inAfrica. Husky makes a great rifle and they used to be better known in the states. I myself have one in 6.5x55 which is about as perfect an Oklahoma deer rifle as was ever devised.
They sell these in sarco inc which you can find in shotgun news.
And Redlion: you are right about the chainsaws but I'll bet that anyone born after 1970 doesn't know about husqvarna bikes: or Penton, Bultaco, CZ or Motobicane.

Husqvara and Carl Gustaf[sister company] are both top drawer.Anyone in the know wouldn't get rid of either one.I had a 6.5x55 in a model 38 military and like a fool let it go.Shot a lot of deer and moose with it and it was scarey accurate.Norma makes brass for the 9.3x62 obtainable from Midway USA for reloading and it can also be easily made from either 30-06 or 35 Whelan cases.Used by early German Afrian settlers and is the smallest legal cartridge allowed on dangerous game in some of the countries.Excellent penetration and .366 in dia. bullets.Harold

Hello everyone!
Anyone using a Husqvarna model 1640 cal 9,3x62 (made in sweden)
Is it a common caliber in the US?

In fact, I believe the 9.3X62 is getting more popular here now than ever before. I would sure like to see those Mauser-Husqvarna rifles again-I liked them!
