RE: .243 vs. 6mm
I shoot both 243 and 6mm. I like the little bitof extra case capacity with the 6mm, but the 243 is the best of the two for brass and loaded ammo availabilty. I believe you said that you do handload, if so. go with the 6mm. I like it just a smidge better than the 243.

i've owned and shot game with both. I sold the 243. 6mm always worked better for me i seemed to have better on game performance. I handload so ammo availability is not a issue. I'll take a 6mm over a 243 anyday.
