scope on my 10/22

I decided to take my cheap ass Tasco 3-9x40 World Class scope off of my 700. I put it on my Ruger 10/22 carbine. Do you guys think this is too much? I have it sighted in on the tee, yep its perfect. I wanting to buy a new scope for my 700, so I just decided to put the old Tasco to use.

Nah, I have a 2.8-10X44 on one of my .22's.

If it will focus on your closest shots, it should work great. I have a Tasco world class 2x7 on my 22.

Mine wears a Simmons 22mag 3-9 scope.
I can't use the higher powers up close, but it's just fine, and it was only $70.
