RE: 350 mag for grizzly????

Before Winchester started chambering the M 70 for the .375 H&H Magnum back in the late 1930's, the most powerful cartridge routinely made available in the U.S. for dangerous game was the .35 Whelen. It was once considered almost equal to the .375 H&H!! Your .350 Rem. Mag. is at least as powerful (actually a little MORE) as that Whelen! With the right premium controlled-expansion bullet like a Nosler Partition, Barnes X, Trophy Bonded Bear Claw or Swift A-Frame, your rifle should be a real killer on bears of any size (and anything else you point it at)!!

Keep yore powder dry!!

RE: 350 mag for grizzly????

midrange caliber at midrange weights at a decent velocity spells death for the grizzly. use a decent bullet (nosler parttion comes to mind) for penetration and goodluck to ya

The 350 mag is just a little behind the whelen with the heavier bullet weights but either one with a 250gr bullet at 2400fps would be good medicine for big bears.

RE: 350 mag for grizzly????

it amazes me what remington ends up doing to themselves.i don't know why they do bring it out the the model 7. i think they forget about these new magnums and super short magnums and go back the basics and fix the little things that make remington's quality bacl to what it was in the early 90's.
like a gun in 35 whelen, one in 358win, and they already got one in 350mag.i would pay the $$$ if the gun was decent looking. since i would prbally keep it with iron sights making it a perfect swamp gun. maybe they will smarten up.another thing i saw is in the picture. that their is a box of 225gr. swif A frame bullets. they said or i thought they said they are making 200gr. PSP's?
have your shot your baby yet? how's the kick?since you have this gun there is no need for your 358win anymore:) let me know if you want me to take it off your hands
