.270

How much will it cost for a good .270?

Right now, and probably the best buy for your money is a Savage. They are considered to be one of the most accurate mass producedrifles out of the box by many shooters and are reasonably priced. Check the Savage Arms website and when you find what you want, call your local gun shop for prices. You should be able to get one for under $400

Bronko is right in my opinion. I own a Savage .270 and it is one ofthe cheapest models they make. I wouldn't give that gun up for nearly anything. The only downside is the looks, not the prettiest thing, even brand new, but still a champ.

Buy a Stevens 200 which is a Savage 110 minus the accu trigger and then buy a really nice scope. Will be as good as any $400 savage package but you will have a much much nicer scope..That's what i did anyways and am very happy with my purchase. Spent $240 on the gun and about $200 on a scope.

Personally I'd say the Howa or a Weatherby Vanguard. Although you should be able to lay your hands on one for around $400 easy. Check the used racks some really good bargains to be had.

My choice would be the Remington SPS with its 24 inch barrel.
