Default RE: .260 Remington for deer?

The last buck I took was with one shot from a Remington 700ADL Synthetic at approximately 50 yards. One shot, behind the right front shoulder, with a 120 grain Ballistic Tip in .260 Remington. The buck took one mighty convulsive leap at the shot and sprawled on the ground. I doubt he even twitched after landing.

The .260 has worked fine for me everytime I've pulled the trigger! Couldn't be happier!!

Dave

P.S. If I were to hunt anything heavier with it then Pennsylvania whitetails I'd switch to a good 140 grain or heavier bullet (likely with premium construction) and be satisfied I was prepared.
