Are Mossberg 935/ 835 any good?
My buddy is looking at a Moss. 935 (turkey/waterfowl combo) comes with 24" & 28" barrels (advatage camo) w/ red dot scope for 499.98. Or Moss. 500 (advan. camo) (T/W combo) 22" barrel with xx-full turkey choke and 28" field barrel, with red dot scope for 299.98. Do you think these guns are any good? Prices any good? I gave him my opinion, now we'll wat for yours!!!! What's the difference between 500 & 835?

RE: Are Mossberg 935/ 835 any good?
I have an 835 that ive had for years. It has prob around 3000 rounds through it and never gave me a problem. Has alot of recoil but other then that its a good gun. The difference in a 500 and an 835 is that a 500 has a 3in chamber and the 835 has a 3.5in chamber. I dont know anything about the 935 but im sure its as good as the pumps they make. Both of those prices sound about normal for a Mossberg. I would get one if i had the money.

i will say that i have 2 mossberg 500 and they are great guns for the price and i was going to buy a 935 for turkey untill i found a benelli super black eagle, glad i didnt buy the 935 so i would say if you can find a benelli he should buy it there is little recoil with the inertia operated system, just my 2 cents

I would get the 835, especially if you are thinking about turkey.
The 835 is also backbored to a 10 ga. So you can't shoot slugs through it. Or a benelli Nova, simular prices. Paul |
