Help would greatly be appreciated
I have been researching two brands savage vs. Remington everywhere I go there is 101 various responses. I am looking for a vary accurate gun that is affordable, I prefer the lowest possible trigger pull. I have looked at the savage 16fxp3 and love the look of the stainless steal, but also I looked at a Remington 700 SPRG W/r3 both in 30-06. Preferences would be greatly appreciate

I ama remington man. Why because I don't like the action of the savage. But will honestly say, your chances of getting a better out of box accuracy is with the savage. I know this but still go with the remingtons. And I then usually do alot of work on them to get them the way I want.

B.c i am pulling so many strings to get the gun (im in high school and have little money) i really cant affored to put any money into the gun. So my best bet would be the savage? And does anyone know the actual trigger pull of the accutrigger on the savages???

If you want acurracy plus a light trigger pull you shouldgo with the savage andthe accu-trigger.

You can take it down well below 3lbs. I wouldn't want to go lighter than 2lbs on a guns unless its a benchrest competition gun and you are not going to get that type of gun for the money you are talking.
But I also can adjust my remington triggers to 2.5lbs also with no problems. Little more difficult but once you do one or two, its a snap. |

This is more of a question of which on fits you better. Savage is prob gonna be a little more accurate but its not going to be noticable when hunting, and there triggers are easliy adjusted. Remington's fits me better then Savage's. I have on of both in 30-06 and pick up the Remington before the Savage anyday. I got lucky and have a 710 that very accurate and i never have any problems with it. I got it as a starter rifle for the mountains so i dont beat up a good rifle and its held together very well. I put a new scope on it and mounts and it shoots 3/4in groups at 100 yards.

LOL, and the $150 for the scope. IM more worried about the scope on it then the gun itself. Its only a cheap BSA but it like the scope alot for some reason. I dropped it down a mountain 150 feet during bear season. I started to slide in the rock and let it go so i could grab onto something. Got some scratches but still shoot fine.
