New Rifle. Build or Buy?

Saw a nice rifle at the shop. It's a remington.308, 26" stainless bull barrel, laminated varmit stock. It is a special run.2002 in 2002.It is a model 700 varmit special. Now the question is.I have been wanting another true tack driver.Do I buy this rifle and take a chance(maybe have to do some tuning work, trigger, lapping, truing,or whatever).Or should I take one of my model 70's or 700's and build one. This 700 lists for over $1300 but I can get it for $700.Caliber is not critical for me personally ,but it is for accuracy sake. What do you guy's think.
