Turkey/Pheasant Gun

Looking for a moderate priced shotgun that can be used for both turkey and pheasant hunting without breaking the bank. Looking for suggestions.

If you want 3 1/2 in shells then a Mossberg 835. If not then prob a Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870. The Mossbergs havea decent ammount of recoil but teh Over Bored barrel on the 835 makes very good patterns on every one ive shot. I use mine for Turkey and Sometimes with buckshot for deer. I also have a rifled slug barrel whit a scope for local deer hunting. With a turkey choke i keep 90% of the pellets in a 20 in circle at40 yards.

1 have 2 835's, no problems. You might also consider the remington 870 or the benelli nova. All of these are pumps and can you found for $250-400.

Remington 870 full breakup or Nova - both are great guns and shot 2 3/4 - 3 and 3 1/2. Chokes are easy to get for the 870.
