Air/CO2 pistols - good options?

I know this forum is geared more for larger firearms, but thought I would ask.

I have a varmint/pest issue that I'm looking for a quiet resolution too. I already have a .22 rifle as well as an assortment of shotguns. The problem is too much noise and too much range of the projectile. My interest is stealthy, close range and compact (no rifles) yet accurate. I don't want to upset the neighbors as they probably would not approve of my proposed method. I would also like an air/CO2 pistol for backyard plinking and possibly an indoor shoot that I know they have in the area in the winter. Shots I would take are close range (no more than 30 ft.).

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a suitable air or CO2 pistol? The Gamo PT-80 Tactical and Walther Tactical (repeating, laser sight) are attractive, but do the "suppressors" (aka silencers) really do anything to reduce the noise? If they do, I may go with one of those. If the suppressor is for "looks" then there seems to be better options (e.g. Beeman, MRI, etc.). A Desert Eagle pellet gun would be pretty sweet!

Thanks for any feedback!

Get a box of .22 CB caps, quiet and deadly enough for the range you are talking.
