All the factory camo'd stuff that you see has been dipped.. that's how they get the camo pattern on there..

Be it guns, bows, ect...

It doesn't matter if you buy it already camo'd or if you have it camo dipped later.. it's the same finish.

Be very cautious sending scopes to be camo'd though.. alot of times it will ruin the scope.. 50/50 shot..

How could it ruin a waterproof scope?? They did tell me they guarantee all the work except for dipping a scope, Gunsmith said a cheap scope may not be totally waterproof.

I'm not sure.. but we had a guy send in 2 rifles and 2 scopes and hardward to get dipped.. both identical setups.

One scope came back perfect.. and the other was screwed.. these were both Cabelas Alaskan Guide scopes.. which appear to be pretty high quality.I don't know if it has to do w/ the temperatures that the dipping takes place in or what.. but it happens (ALOT) from what I'm told.
