I find it ironic, with a name like lovethebigguns, that you want to smaller, but, whatever.
Great observation Pighunter56!
I love my 300 win mag, and my bigguns, but I'd like to have abetter suited cartridge for deer. Smaller isn't necessarily the goal, but I figured it was the only option to get that "better" deer cartridge.

Also I've been telling my wife about how much meat I lose from the 300 being "too big" and it gives me another excuse to buy another rifle!

Big, I suffer from the same disease, I, too have been using the .300 and .338 Win Mag, as my work horses, for the past few years, and now, I want to go smaller. Because, they have proven that they are a little much for deer and hogs.

would I really benefit from buying a 7MMSTW if I already have a 300 Win mag????
Thanks!
No. If you get another, go up to a .340 Weatherby or a .375 H&H.
