Rem 870

What is the differences between the Remington 870 SPS-T Super Magnum Camo and the 870 Express Super Magnum Turkey Camo. I see the list price of the SPS-T is $186 more. The only differences I see is the included camo sling, the camo foreend sling mount, the super full turkey choke and the different camo pattern. That's can't be work almost $200.

with both among my collection of 870s, I gotta say unless you do like me and buy them just because its an 870, I'd get the Express model. My express is just as solid as my old wingmaster, shoots just as good and occasionally better than the sps. I wouldnt mind a thumbhole stock on it but if you are just looking for one gun, get the express, use the money you save to get your sling, chokes, etc and still have shell money. If you have a walmart nearby and havent checked already, the full realtree hardwoods Express supermag sells for $290 and remington was offering a 30 dollar rebate on express models.

From what I understand, the 870 Express will shoot 2 3/4" and 3" shells, while the 870 Supermagnum will shoot 3 1/2" and 3" shells (they say it will shoot 2 3/4" shells, but I've heard they jam on the Supermagnum).

Never had a hickup from my supermag 870s feeding 2 3/4. I try to alternate their uses and the Express supermag gets used abunch on squirrel/grouse/skeet and it eats up alot of 2 3/4 shells. ifone has feeding problems with them it may be a defect in the gun.

Fair enough.

The870 Express Super Magnum Turkey does have a 3 1/2" chamber just like the SPS-T.

It looks like there's nothing special on the SPS-T that's worth the additional money. I already have two 870 Expresses and have the Super Full Turkey choke already. That won't be an expense. I guess I'll just go with the Express Super Magnum and spend $20 on a sling.

a wise choice my friend, enjoy the gun, and if you havent used one i'd highly recommend a vero vellini wide top sling...they are an awesome sling and you can get'em for like $24-35 bucks depending, and they come in realtree hardwoods so it can match the supermag. one other suggestion on the gun too which goes with most any new pump. i'd get some cheap 100rd bulk packs of target loads and just go wear it out and keep oilin up the slides. mine was stubborn to pump for the first 50-75rds.
