CZ550

Has anyone used any of the CZ550 rifles? I have heard they are good shooters at a resonable price. I want to get a bolt action rifle for my son and was thinking of a CZ. Any information would help.

Thanks

I have a 550 that I bought used in .416 Rigby caliber, and a 527 carbine in 7.62X39mm. Both are very accurate, and are about as good as any factory production rifle as far as fit and finish are concerned.

I find nothing about them to really complain about, and they are reasonably priced, as well. Here's how the 527 carbine (18" barrel) shoots:

I have a 527 American in .204 ruger and it shots great. I have about 500 rounds through it in 4 months and it still has great accuracy. I only cleanit every 50 to 100 rounds. I knwo i should clean it around 20 to 40 but thats what i shoot on the weekends. It never jammed or gave me any problems even after 100 rounds. I would recomend one to anyone who is thinking about getting one.
