Encore Rifle
I would like to know your experiences with the T/C Encore rifle. Also any experiences with after market barrels for this gun Thanks Please excuse the double post. I tried to delete my first post in the reviews forum but "Reset Fields" did not work. Ray

RE: Encore Rifle
Execelent gun! I own a "few" different barrels for my Encore and all are accurate. I have a .240 Weatherby barrel made buy www.virginvalleyguns.com
The only thing I ever had done was a trigger job,Virgin Valley lightened it up for me also...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Hunt Safe! Jack |
RE: Encore Rifle
I was considering this gun for my 13 yr old grandson to use. He is about 5' 6" and weighs 150 lbs but is new to shooting. He harvested his first deer this year with his mother's .243 (His mother, my daughter, is an excellent shot and harvested a 5 X 6 bull elk this year @ 300 yds) I was considering a 7mm '08, a .308, or a 30 '06. Would get a muzzle brake with any of these. Thanks Ray

RE: Encore Rifle
I'm saving up for one right now and can't wait. The caliber/guage combo's are unbelivable. I found a pretty good deal last night while searching the web in regards to Encores. This place will sell you a standard Encore barrel, plus a 3X9 Swift Premier scope (lifetime warranty), mount the scope, fill and plug from sight removal (if wanted) all for $375 if I remember correctly. They also sell just the recivers so you could start your whole package off ready to hunt... oh yeah they do trigger/action jobs for $40 but have them on sale for $20 here's the link in case your interested.
