Cleaning a Benelli Shotgun?

I have ? To anyone who has experience cleaning Benelli Montefeltro or similar Benelli Shotgun.
It is absolutely the easiest to take apart clean and put back together BUT, How often do you need to take apart and clean the bolt and firing pin assemble? The directions don’t say and I’ve always been taught to completely tear down shotguns and put them back together when cleaning.
It has been recommended to me 1 to 2 times per year depending on use. and dirt?
Does that sound right?

I want this gun to last rest of my life but don’t want to overkill on the cleaning too.

RE: Cleaning a Benelli Shotgun?

It depends on how much you shoot it. If you shoot a lot then you might have to take it apart when it gets a little build up in the places you cant reach. But whenever it is exposed to rain, heavey snow, or any other extreme moisture i would take it fully apart. Other wise i just clean what i can see everytime i use it.
